The only important driving-factor behind the criteria was the interests of consumers and their expectations in terms of efficacy, naturalness and skin compatibility.

The criteria are based on the latest scientific findings.

It is in the interest of producers/manufacturers of natural cosmetics and NaTrue members to protect the meaning of the term “natural cosmetics. It is not about enabling selected companies to certify their products. Everyone should be in a position to market organic and natural cosmetics but this should be done in line with transparent criteria which comply with consumer expectations.
